Support Groups
Some things are easier to carry when you're not carrying them alone. Our groups bring together people walking similar roads, for real conversation, practical tools, and the relief of being understood. Groups are often offered both in-person at our Mission Valley office and virtually, so you can join in whatever way fits your life. Reach out below for more information or to get started.
Stepparents Support Group
New groups forming this fall.
Stepparenting is one of the most important roles in family life, and one of the least supported. This group is a space to talk honestly about the parts that don't get named: the shifting boundaries, the co-parenting demands, the grief and complexity of loving a family you didn't build from the start. You'll leave with practical strategies and a community that gets it.
Just getting started? Our free workshop on September 12, Surviving Back-to-School as a Stepparent, is a low-pressure way to get a feel for the space before joining.
Groups offered in person and virtually. Find group details here.
Contact Leila Savage, AMFT for more information about how to join: leila@commongroundtherapygroup.com.
Dads Support Group
Fatherhood asks a lot, and men are often expected to handle it without much room to talk about the weight of it. This group gives dads a straightforward, judgment-free place to show up as they are, share what's actually going on, and connect with other men who understand.
No performance, no fixing. Just honest support.
Offered in person and virtually. Find group details here.
